The Manila Diaries now availble February 23, 2010
The short documentary 'The Manila Diaries' is now availble on the website.
“The Manila Diaries” was filmed in the Philippines shortly after Typhoon Ondoy ravaged the country. We were witness to the devastating aftermath as well as met many who were personally affected by this tragedy. At times, we felt hopeless but promised we would do anything we could to help. The short-documentary will be on sale here (www.sambradley.com) as a download. It will cost $10 and half of the proceeds will be going to UNICEF- Typhoon Onody initiative.
Stay tuned for date of release.
I'm also going to share a poster for the documentary to try and raise awareness. Please put it up on your blogs, Myspace, Facebook or whatever thing you use to help me spread the word. It would be amazing to raise a lot of money for this cause.
I am also sharing a song on youtube called Manila that I had written while i was on my trip there. Pass that around too if you would like.
Here is the first trailer for Manila Diaries directed by Zack Spiger, which is due for release in late February. There is a more information coming concerning the documentary so keep checking back and I will let you know.
Thanks,
Sam Bradley
----------------
Sam Bradley embarks on one of the most unique tour experiences of his young career when given the opportunity to play a series of concerts in the Philippines. Coincidentally, Bradley’s appearances were scheduled in the midst of the grueling aftermath of Typhoon Ondoy that ripped through the Philippines a week prior to his arrival. The reality of this tragedy sets the tone for the tour that is both revealing and introspective in nature.
The tour diary explores the interest in seeing the real surface of an unknown place while balancing the excitement of opportunity and attempting to maintain creative integrity.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that came out during my tour with Justin Nozuka and Elizabeth and the Catapult. It was truly the most special musical experience I could have wanted and at this stage in my career. I am a lucky fella.
Seeing as it is Christmas I decided yesterday that I would try recording a Christmas song in my office/bedroom/studio. Well I did and I wanted to give it away for free. All you have to do is go to the link here and download it. All of my tour posters and T-shirts are available too so if you feel the urge to splurge great!
The E.P is also available on the website it includes the music video and a digital booklet. It is downloadable only! So it will not be sent to your house. It is also available on Itunes so please gift it to all your friends. All you got to do is search SAM BRADLEY on Itunes.
Please Keep checking the site for info on the Philippines Documentary and more answers in the "ask Sam" While we are on the subject... Please Please stop asking me to come to your city... IM WORKING ON IT!!!! x
